During any project in West Sumatra, there are bound to be obstacles related to land and environmental issues. As residents, most of us are open to infrastructure development, especially with the flyover expected to improve traffic flow between Padang and Solok, which will impact safety and the economy. Feasibility studies on the project's impacts and outreach to the surrounding community are the only way to ensure the project runs smoothly. Based on various considerations, following the groundbreaking ceremony in May 2025, the Sitinjau Lauik Flyover is scheduled for completion in 2028 (the exact date is not yet known). Hopefully, there will be no further obstacles like most projects in Sumatra.
