Neurodiversity Support: Creating Systems & Structures that Work for ADHD
Do you ever find that reward systems, point charts, or planners don’t work as you might expect? Do you find that some students or clients resist using solutions that have been proven to work for others? If you want to help people create effective structures that work for them, this Masterclass will help you support children and teens with ADHD and related challenges. As a participant, you will learn how to create systems and structures that are practical, effective, and sustainable — without overcomplicating things or tipping anyone into overwhelm. At the end of this video, you will be able to: Identify and avoid common mistakes in creating systems to manage executive function in children. Develop effective strategies for designing systems that support both neurodiverse and neurotypical children. Apply key components of collaborative systems to empower children & teens to take ownership of and sustain their success. The rise of mental health issues among school-aged youth is a pressing concern. More young people are experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidality, bullying, and other socio-emotional and neurodiversity-related challenges than ever before. As these issues grow in the student population, teachers and schools are at the interface of prevention and intervention. Yet, many teachers feel unprepared to address mental health concerns effectively. This Masterclass was designed as part of a series to empower teachers and educators with knowledge, practical skills, and effective interventions to create a meaningful impact on students’ lives – within the classroom and beyond.
