333 MPH, Massive Crowds, Final Qualifying

Final Qualifying Day at New England Dragway! It’s the final day of qualifying here at New England Dragway, and the crew is hard at work from the moment we roll into the pits. As usual, we start the day catching up with the kids while they’re busting their tails getting the car ready for Q3. The plan was simple: improve on our solid run from Friday night. After the warm-up, we headed to the line and did exactly that—laying down a 3.80 at 333 MPH and moving in the right direction heading into race day. Back in the pits, the crew wasted no time turning the car around for the final qualifying session. With one more race left in this three-race stretch, everyone wanted to get the dragster serviced and ready to go as quickly as possible. On the way to Q4, I took the opportunity to show you just how incredible the crowd was. The grandstands were packed, and the turnout at New England Dragway was absolutely impressive. For the final qualifying pass, Shane got me belted in and ready to make another strong run. Everything felt great when we left the starting line—until it didn’t. The engine dropped a cylinder, and that ended our shot at improving. That's racing. The good news? We’ve got a solid race car, an incredible crew, and we’ll be ready to get after it on race day. It’s been a great event so far, but we're not satisfied yet.
