Two Things Just Became Official In The Nolan Wells Case
Nolan Wells update: Nolan's family met with the Jackson County District Attorney this morning, and this is what came out of it. A grand jury is now confirmed to be waiting at the end of the investigation, both sides have agreed to jointly inspect Nolan's phone, and the FBI has put its actual role in this case in writing for the first time. More than a week since 18-year-old Nolan Xavier Wells was found dead off Horn Island, Mississippi, this is the first time the path this case will take has been laid out in public, even though almost no new facts about what happened on July fourth came out of today's meeting. In this update, we break down: What actually came out of the family's meeting with the DA Why a grand jury referral matters, and what it doesn't mean The joint phone inspection agreement between investigators and the family's legal team The FBI's official statement on its role in this case, in its own words Where both the independent and state autopsies stand right now Nolan's funeral arrangements and why the family's plans for that day matter Why misinformation keeps spreading online, and Ben Crump's response to it What still hasn't been resolved, including the contradictions from earlier in this case We separate what's officially confirmed from what's still speculation, and mark opinion clearly as opinion. Nobody has been arrested or charged in connection with Nolan Wells' death. Everyone mentioned is presumed innocent unless proven otherwise in a court of law.
