Four Wheeling in the Wild Landscapes Around Djupivogur, Iceland

Djupivogur is a very small tender port on the eastern coast of Iceland. It is the gateway to many popular trekking destinations. Visitors can access the Vatnajokull Glacier, a UNESCO World Heritage site complete with ice caves and waterfalls, the Vestrahorn mountains overlooking the Stokksnes, Hengifoss waterfall as well as canyons, rivers, and volcanoes. We took a 4x4 to reach some of the highest peaks and were able to dip our toes in freshwater streams, while enjoying waterfall views.
