Soundcloud:   / fiftygrand   On December 1st, 2015, Fifty Grand presented the world with his next instrumental tape "Helena's Skin" The beautiful melodies and ambient mixes that Fifty Grand incorporate into his instrumentals are truly one of a kind. Different pitches seem to collapse into each other, leaving one feeling hopeful for the unknown. Fifty traveled back to his home of Conneticut to produce Helena's skin, and it is easy to see the inspiration he gets from being back. This is some of the neatest instrumental work I have heard in years, and it brings me back to the ambient masters, such as Harold Budd. The tape also goes out with a burst, featuring hard hitting fast paced bass, snare & percussion with two of the tapes' tracks being remixed by BOYGOLD and KELLBENDER.
