Harvesting wild bamboo shoots allows me to connect with nature and bring the freshest ingredients back to my farm kitchen. Today, I am carefully harvesting wild bamboo shoots, then returning home to tend to my farm before processing them into a spicy bamboo shoots with chili pickle, ready to be sold at the local market. Tom β my cheerful white dog β and Lu β my calm black dog β follow me through the mountain trails, while Miu, my gentle white cat, waits in the sunny garden. Mun, our newest little family member, is curious about the freshly harvested bamboo we brought home. Every step of this process, from the forest to the jar, is filled with the peace of our countryside life.
