The Yanango Tunnel is the second longest rock-cut tunnel in all of Peru. It is located in the Yanango ravine on the Tarma-San Ramón route. Previously, crossing this section of the highway took more than 25 minutes and even several days due to mudslides that were devastating to truckers. Now, the crossing takes just 2 minutes thanks to the massive Yanango Tunnel project.
