San Pedro went from being a small fishing village in the early 1800s to become one of the most prosperous towns in the Dominican Republic at the beginning of 1900. For this reason, the most ostentatious constructions of this town were made between 1900 and 1930, when they called San Pedro de Macorís, "La Tacita de Oro" (The Golden Cup). #DominicanRepublic #Caribbean #Travel
