Smuggi | MARIONETKA | RESIDENT EVIL (prod. DVMI)

The song “Marionetka” is the result of a unique collaboration with the talented artist Smuggi, DVMI and the platform Projekt Parasol, created to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Our goal was to capture the essence of the iconic Resident Evil series and translate it into the language of music. The song tells the story of a person who, as a result of a mysterious infection, loses control over his own body and mind, becoming a captive puppet in the claws of the disease. “Marionetka” opens a wide field of interpretation, inviting listeners to reflect deeply on the loss of humanity and freedom. In the song, you will hear a passage in Latin, containing Horace's maxim: “Pulvis et umbra sumus.” Literally, it means “dust and shadow we are” This powerful phrase refers to human mortality and the fleeting nature of life, emphasizing our temporariness and transience, like dust and shadow. The eeriness of the song is complemented by the music video created by Arsyn. Thanks to his talent in editing, in it we can admire dynamic scenes from Resident Evil games and movies, which perfectly harmonize with the atmosphere of the song.
