THE SIGNIFICANCE OF UPDF DEPLOYMENT IN BUNIA-DRC
The defence public information officer Maj Gen Felix Kulayigye says that UPDF’s deployment in Bunia is part of Operation Shujaa, a joint military operation with the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) aimed at neutralizing the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) and other armed groups in the region. Bunia a key location for the ADF, and the UPDF's deployment is aimed at disrupting their operations and securing the city
