Jonathan Miller's opera works episode 1 The Death Scene

"With infectious enthusiasm, humour and no-nonsense insight, Jonathan Miller brings opera to life for nine young singers from the Royal Northern College of Music. Taking various famous scenes from scratch, he rehearses them in different aspects of opera: the ensemble, the duet, the chorus, the aria, the recitative and the death scene. There are no sets, no costumes, no orchestras and no rules. Just glorious music, dramatic analysis and a compelling understanding of each situation."--Alexander Street, resource website. This was recorded back in the 90s from the TV onto VHS, then converted to DVD and now reconverted to online, so the quality is rather low (but better than the non-existent official releases). I'll try and get the rest of the series uploaded. Maybe on the occasion of Jonathan Miller's death, this might prompt the BBC to rescreen it.
