Germany wanted to experiment in several sections with a new type of truck, traditionally known as a trolleybus, now converted into an electric road transport truck linked to a catenary and a pantograph. However, the technical complexity of building, maintaining and safely operating this system, and the inherent problems for truckers who have to operate it, have put paid to the idea of extending it throughout the country, and perhaps throughout Europe. Among a lot of reasons that we explain in the video, the final decision of its insufficient usefulness is the relationship between cost and benefit. But the thing doesn't stop there.
