We Were Snowed In for almost 4 Days ❄️ First Grocery Trip After the Storm

We were expecting a huge blizzard that was supposed to last almost three days—and right before it hit, I was downstate with the teens from our church at a youth conference. That meant my husband was in charge of the pre-storm grocery run 😅 He grabbed a few essentials—apples, Zevia, and frozen pizzas—but thankfully we already had a stocked pantry and freezer. We made it work! We cooked meals at home, kept everyone fed, and I even made homemade bread and cookies during those long snowed-in days. By the time the storm passed, and we finally got plowed out, it had been almost four days. The snow drifts on our road were over 10 feet high—it was unreal. At that point, we were definitely running low on fresh fruits and veggies, so I headed into town for a big grocery haul. Since we don’t have as many people at home right now, I picked up a few things I wouldn’t normally buy and planned some more fun, “fancier” meals. After shopping, I slowed things down a bit and went to lunch with some of my kids. It ended up being such a nice, much-needed day out after being stuck inside. Thank you so much for coming along on this grocery shopping trip 🤍 Make sure to subscribe, like, and follow along with our family!
