Super delicious and easy to make homemade pear cake. It's so moist and tasty, it will melt in your mouth and everybody will ask for more! The cake comes out slightly caramelised without the hassle of preparing caramel, thanks to it's jam content. Please make sure to follow all the steps and you will get amazing results! Prep time: 20 minutes. Baking time: 60-65 minutes. Total: 80-85 minutes. RECIPE: Springform cake tin size 20cm All ingredients must be room temperature I recommend using scales to measure the ingredients, especially flour. 2 conference pears 120g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter 150g (3/4 cup) sugar 2 large or 3 small eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 150g (1/2 cup) peach or apricot jam (or pear jam if you can find it) 170ml (3/4 cup) milk 200g (1+2/3 cup) plain flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt Preheat your oven for at least 15 minutes before baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C / 360F / gas mark 4. Place it on the middle rack, in the middle of the rack. ‼️ Cover it with foil loosely after 10-15 minutes of baking - this is very important as it will start to caramelise due to jam content in the batter and if not covered it will burn ‼️ Total baking time: 60-65 minutes, or until toothpick comes just with few moist crumbs attached. Every oven is different, baking times may vary slightly, keep checking it with a toothpick every 5 minutes after 55 minutes of baking. Enjoy 💗
