Barbel Fishing On The Severn - DAVE HARRELL 1994!

Who remembers The Original Video Company - with angling titles directed by Len Gurd. Here by agreement is Dave's Barbel Fishing on the Severn, over 30 YEARS ago. Not a lot has changed really. Well, except for Dave. ****************************** The barbel is one of the strongest fighting fish in England. Introduced to the mighty River Severn in 1958 it is one of the major species throughout the length of the river and highly sought after by thousands of anglers each season. In this video filmed on the Kidderminster & District A.A. stretch at Bewdley, England International Dave Harrell gives us an insight into the methods to catch a big weight of barbel. Dave, who holds the river float match record with 93:8:0 of barbel discusses the different ways of using a swimfeeder with long and short hooklengths. He then goes through the float techniques with balsa and waggler floats in a fast flowing swim. Rods, reels, lines, hooks and baits are all covered as Dave comes close to a one-hundred-pound catch, with fish up to eight pounds. ****************************** You should check out his website and business at: https://www.daveharrellangling.com
