After 3 years finally a new machine - did I made the wrong decision?
A new machine is in the shop. A little more than 3 years ago an extremely generous viewer donated me his little Proxxon mini mill. This machine served me pretty well in the last years making a lot of cool and complex projects possible. Even with it's small size it helped me a lot in the past. But now I thought it's time for a change. I bought a new milling machine on the used market. It is a Wabeco 11200 from 1990 with Morse taper 2 spindle. It is a lot larger and more than 4 times heavier than my Proxxon machine. Furthermore it has a lot more travel in x direction and is a lot sturdier. Thanks a lot again to the tool supplier Ragotzky & Gätje. They were so kind to sponsor me a whole set of MK2 collets for my new machine so I can start to work with it. Thanks to Ragotzky & Gätje, check out the shops: Endmill shop: https://www.cnc-fraeser-shop.de/ Drillbit shop: https://www.bohren-shop.de/ Tool clamping shop: https://www.spannsysteme-shop.de/ But of course there are some things which I am planning to modify or add to the machine. The machine has some strange design oddities which I show in the video. I am curious what you think about the new machine and what you would modify or add to the machine. Let me know in the comment what you think. Thanks a lot for your support. WCDTB Support: www.patreon.com/wecandothatbetter
