Phil Read MBE - in his own words
In 2019 Phil Read visited Brooklands and gave an interview with his wife and business partner, Wendy, about his life on two very fast wheels. Phil was a true legend - seven times World Champion at 125cc. 250cc and 500cc and the first man to win championships in all those three categories. He raced from 1961 to 1976 on circuits and TT races with his first TT win in 1961 and last in 1977. He won 8 Isle of Man TT races and also owned a Honda dealership in Hersham!
