Toyota Corona Project 2021 Update! Getting it "spring ready"? From Lucore Automotive
We introduced you all to this Toyota Corona project car back at the beginning of, well you know. At that point the car had been sitting still for YEARS, wouldn't run, had fuel that had turned into some sort of varnish, and tires that were quite literally falling apart. That was about a year ago, and much like many other things, nothing has really gotten much better over that year. But with the way things are looking now and spring/summer 2021 possibly ready for fun we figured it was time to give this old Corona Wagon some attention! What you have here is a 1980 Toyota Corona Wagon, Luxury edition. As far as luxury, there's not much to point to but it... has an automatic transmission. Under the hood is a 22R 4 cylinder with a tiny little carb, think of it as the not so cool older cousin that needed to haul stuff to the Toyota Celica. So, step 1 for this was get it running driving turning and stopping then go for a test drive. As you'll see pretty quickly this didn't exactly go according to plan. We would like to note, this is just a fun video of one of our own projects and NOT something we are doing or working on for a customer. The footage just ended up being too good to not use, so turned it into a little light hearted episode that will hopefully get a few laughs or smiles! Lucore Automotive is a small independent american small business located just outside Columbus Ohio. While we are a full service shop that maintains and repairs countless daily drivers we are also well known for our work on classics, race cars, and collector cars. We would like to thank all of our friends, fans, follower, supporters, subscribers, and most importantly customers for being here with us! Without the wonderful people who let us work on their toys, and help their dreams come true we wouldn't be in business.
