Switch De-Bounce Using Schmitt

Using a Schmitt trigger to eliminate switch bounce. In this video I use a combination of a capacitor, resistor and a Hex Schmitt trigger IC to provide an almost perfect square output from a mechanical switch or push button. The IC I use is a Toshiba TC4584 which incorporates six Schmitt triggers, but there are many many alternatives out there including the Texas Instruments SN7414N. šŸ”—NOTE:- The Amazon links provided below are affiliate links.
