Hey everyone and welcome back to Iowa Classic Cars! Today, I will be showing you how be your own investigator when buying a classic X frame Chevrolet or GM of the same era. The VIN tag is the birth certificate of the car, and if its gone, it may be hard, if not impossible, to verify your title is correct. This video explains what to look for on the cowl tag that can be used to prove your car is what its suppose to be. I also cover hidden frame VINs for 1958-64 chevys as there is a lot of false information floating around regarding where they are and what they say.
