Shortparis: демонтаж представлении о русской идентичности.

In a tiny venue, during the last edition of experimental festival Le Guess Who?, we were overwhelmed by Russian band Shortparis. Surely, their experimental mix of postpunk and electro – spun with a Russian twist – is distinctive in its own right, yet in addition the intensity of their flamboyantly expressive liveshows deconstruct Westeren stereotypes surrounding Russian identity. In this interview we got to chat with them about their take on Russian identity in the current age, and what it means to be the voice of a generation.
