Our take on the Victron Orion DC/DC charger, and how we installed it.

EDIT: we misspoke in the video, we said 600MAH but meant 600AH worth of battery storage. Sorry for the confusion. Of all the products we changed or integrated in 2023 the Victron Orion DC/DC Charger is without a doubt the BEST. We were on the fence about installing the Orion DC/DC Charger because to be honest we just didnt quite understand it at the time. This thing is awesome!! Our original 7-way plug just would not charge our batteries...NEVER, on either the Solitude or the Beacon. After a lot of research we found that although the plug does supply voltage from the toy vehicle...it will NEVER supply enough voltage to resupply your coach batteries. This is where the Orion charger shines. The Orion dc/dc chargers main job is to do just that, recharge your coach batteries from your tow vehicle. And Boy does it do its job!!!! I can not believe we waited so long to install this product. Our first trip solved any doubt at all. a typical 5 hr trip our batteries would be down to 89%. Now...100%.
