On The Trail Of The Bronte Stones

A documentary presented by the writer, Michael Stewart, who is also the creator of the Brontë Stones project. The Brontë Stones were devised, curated and delivered by Michael Stewart in collaboration with the Bradford Literature Festival. This documentary explains the concept behind the project and takes you on a virtual tour of the Brontë Stones walk, which features all four stones. The stones have been carved by Pip Hall and feature poems by Carol Ann Duffy, Jeanette Winterson, Kate Bush and Jackie Kay. Michael Stewart has also devised four walks. The maps of these walks are available from the Parsonage Museum in Haworth, the Brontë Birthplace in Thornton, the Book Case in Hebden Bridge, the Book Corner in Halifax, Salts Books in Saltaire, Plenty cafe at South Square Arts Centre, or online. The maps were designed and drawn by cartographer Chris Goddard. This film has been funded by the University of Huddersfield. It was produced by Tim Walker at Voltage Studios.
