Drop #228 - Watches with Shape - Chaumet, Cartier, Patek Philippe, Rolex, Dunhill & more

This week we're talking about one of Tim's favourite genres of watchmaking. Shaped-case watches, we've got some special pieces with less than traditional shapes from a variety of brands and eras. First up, the Chaumet Jump Hour Jumbo from the mastermind's at THA, 18K gold with stunning guichet windows. Another THA special is the Cartier Tortue Monpossoir in white gold, a popular dial configuration from the watchmaking supergroup. A very art deco Patek Philippe Gondolo in solid platinum, something a little diferent from Patek, and interesting shape not often seen. On the other side of the side spectrum, we have a Cartier Bagnoire, manual wind in yellow gold, with a stepped case. Warning! Not your grandma's Bagnoire... Looks great with a suit on any wrist. An incredible value option from Dunhill, a 250th anniversary edition yellow gold watch with a stretched-diamond shaped case. Lastly, a Rolex Oyster Perpetual that doesn't hold back at all, 30mm case, solid 18k yellow gold, with a fully integrated milanese-esque bracelet, with the cherry on top being an green Omani stamp on the dial and caseback.
