The Kitchen (Super Mario Galaxy Percussion Show)

“Kitchen of the Cosmos” A Super Mario Galaxy indoor drumline show. Originally composed by Mahito Yokota and Koji Kondo Arranged by Logan Vang This percussion show uses 4 songs from the game, all from the Kitchen area. I excluded Bubble Breeze Galaxy because it uses Space Fantasy, which I could use for a Fountain percussion show. 0:00 Mvmt 1: Buoy Base Galaxy 1:47 Mvmt 2: Ghostly Galaxy 2:57 Mvmt 3: Drip Drop Galaxy 4:10 Mvmt 4: Beach Bowl Galaxy Super Mario Galaxy is a game that is very important to me, I remember getting it as an Easter present for when I was in Elementary School. I hope you enjoy, I put a lot of love and detail into this. Maybe I’ll make an indoor drumline show for each dome of Mario Galaxy, that sounds like a fun idea. Maybe I’ll do the Fountain or Bedroom next. This show is partially inspired by the percussion show “Colors,” which I played my Senior year of high school. Buoy Base Galaxy’s bpm has increased from ~140bpm to 162bpm, which is the same tempo as the 1st Movement of Colors. This is also my shortest percussion show so far, tied with Demon Disco for being only 5 and half minutes long. The 1st movement’s file was corrupted, so that was fun to deal with… Anyways, everything else was actually really fun to write. I experimented and played with dynamics a lot in the 2nd and 3rd movements. It’s really fun to give the melodies an “echo.” You can even say the 2nd movement has a lot of… ghost notes. I like how lonely and abstract Drip Drop Galaxy sounds. Half of the 4th movement is a piano feature. I may have been partially inspired by Deltarune Chapter 5’s credits to do so. Percussion shows tend to give solos to the drums, so why not a pit instrument for once 🤷🎹. The closer and to an extent the entire show is a bit different compared to my other shows. It’s more slower paced, especially the 4th movement, but I like that. It makes it unique. Thank you for listening. All background footage by Pitius Games    • Super Mario Galaxy - All Galaxies
