2018 09 11 - UELI & Giò : Eiger over Mittellegi Ridge : Climbing to the Hut.

Day 1: Ascent to the Mittellegi Hut 3350m Meeting point is at the Eismeer Station, on the Jungfrau Railway, Having roped up we set out to traverse the Challifirn. As soon as the Bergschrund has been climbed we change to the rock face and continue upwards in a grade 3+ in order to reach a prominent rock band that can be followed all the way to the hut. The location of the small hut exposed on the narrow ridge is spectacular and can boast the best sunsets for miles around.
