KIA EV5 Review 2026, KIA'S Missing Puzzle Piece? (UK)(4K) | Carcode

#kia #ev5 #suv The Kia EV5 is Kia’s latest addition to their EV passenger car range, sitting between the EV9 & EV3! Kia’s most popular model, and the UK’s bestselling mid-size SUV is the Kia Sportage, the EV5 claims to be the “electric Sportage”. It is slightly larger than that car, being about 7cm longer. 3/4 trims are offered from launch; Air, GT-Line & GT-Line S (as tested) & GT-Line S (Heat Pump) with the Air coming in at just under £40,000. Standard equipment includes; twin 12.3” displays, rear camera, heated front seats & heated steering wheel perfect for winter! Top-spec GT-Line S is packed with features such as the 8-Speaker Harman Kardon soundsystem, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, 360* cameras, ventilated front seats, massage seats & more! A range of up to 329 miles WLTP combined is claimed on the Air trim with GT-Line & GT-Line S claiming between 313-314 miles. A heat pump is offered only on top-spec GT-Line S, as a separate trim starting at over £48,000. As always with new EVs, leasing and salary sacrifice pricing will be one of the main deciding factors rather than outright list price. Kia’s EV range is very impressive now with the EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6 & EV9, with the supermini EV2 due imminently. The EV5 looks the part and fits well within the range, however both the EV3 & EV4 offer ranges closer to 400 miles and at a lower cost, those looking for a Sportage-sized EV though should definitely consider the EV5. Thanks to KIA UK for having me along at the launch of the EV5 & PV5 and for supporting the channel throughout 2025!
