Not just any volcano — this one rises 17,000 feet (5,321 m) above sea level. It’s called Nevado del Ruiz, and it’s still alive. Up here, every breath feels heavier. You can actually hear your lungs working. Some people on the tour felt dizzy — a few even had to stop and sit down. At this altitude, you realize how fragile the human body is… and how powerful nature can be. The Nevado del Ruiz last erupted in 1985, destroying an entire town — and yet it still draws people in, as if the mountain itself were calling. It’s cold, silent, and absolutely mesmerizing.
