New mods! I regret updating game, we now have to play from beginning again. But I will quickly get to the point we were in. I didn't read Discord where it said not to update but atleast we now got more mods! -AlifePlus: Completely changes stalker behavior on the maps, forcing them to constantly move around and creating a more unpredictable environment than the passive patrols from the base version. AlifeTactics: This mod significantly improves squad coordination. -Causes and consequences aggregate into hundreds of combinations. Entity and World fixed, randomized, more dangerous and wild. -Reactions-World events and your own decisions and actions trigger responses...and more. -AlifeBalance: Allows you to adjust A-Life parameters and helps with game optimization. You can check the details directly on ModDB. AlifeGuard: A useful add-on that controls the number of active NPCs to maintain smoothness and stability without breaking immersion. -AlifeBalance is a balance layer for vanilla A-Life. It contains multiple systems: -Smart Balance: shortens respawn cooldowns only where combat actually happened. Inventory Balance: bounds NPC inventory hoarding so anti-loot addons are no longer needed. Both run alongside the engine without rewriting it. Each can be toggled independently. -Built as a companion to AlifePlus, which adds reactive A-Life behavior across the Zone. More activity means more deaths, and AlifeBalance scales refill to match. Both mods are independent and can be used separately. -Smart Balance Vanilla respawn cooldowns run on a fixed schedule that ignores combat pressure. Regions you fight through empty out while quieter parts of the map drift toward overcrowding. Smart Balance counts deaths by level and faction. Once enough have accumulated, it shortens the cooldown at one matching smart terrain on that level. The threshold is the largest possible squad size for that faction's spawn pool. The next respawn there gets pulled closer in time, but never all the way to immediate. The picker chooses the smart terrain farthest from you so the refill lands off-screen. -AlifeGuard - Late-game A-Life accumulates too many active entities. AI, physics, and pathfinding all run on the same thread. Performance degrades as the count grows. Population mods like ZCP and Redone amplify the problem by increasing spawn rates. Zombie entities from broken releases, orphaned squad members, and engine-level memory leaks make it worse over time. AlifeGuard keeps the online population under control while preserving how A-Life works. Squads remain valid, smart terrains behave correctly, no respawn loops. It reduces load without breaking the simulation. -AlifeTactics is a platform of systems that take how creatures behave and fight in STALKER to another level. (Note that the readme covers the final shape of the mod, currently it is less than half finalized) Now all creatures will fight and behave much more intelligently, making emergent decisions based on environment, own state, enemy state, squad state, weapons, faction doctrine etc Nothing is player centric, everything is fair and there are no advantages or disadvantages given to anyone Creatures use real items they acquire themselves (medkits, ammo, props) Combat prowess categories that should have scaled by rank (accuracy, weapon spread, aim speed and others) now work for real and without hacks or side effects Features that never worked or were hijacked, now work for real (eg AP ammo is used by whoever owns it and is consumed, vanilla has NPCs using infinite cheapest ammo, modpacks have infinite AP ammo per rank and map) Bugs disguised as features, like fake weapon jamming or random tactical reloading are eliminated Simple despawners remove individual NPCs without considering squad structure. This can delete entire squads, open respawn slots, leave smart terrains in a malformed state where they stop spawning, and interfere with mods that script squads. AlifeGuard works at the squad level and accounts for the engine's spawn bookkeeping.
