Bulova is Japanese, owned by Citizen since two thousand eight. Pulsar is Japanese too, owned by Seiko. Elgin is a name printed on watches made in China. Waltham is a name that drifts from owner to owner. Every legend under the glass belongs to someone in another country. Now look at what killed them. The machine that ends the American watch is the electronic watch. Bulova builds the first fully electronic watch in nineteen sixty. Hamilton builds the first digital watch in nineteen seventy two.
