Introduction to Morae in Ancient Greek (Accentuation in Ancient Greek A Mora-Based Approach Video 1)

This is the first of five videos that present a new way to understand how Ancient Greek accentuation works by taking into account a linguistic phenomenon called the "mora" and dispensing with the confusing and unhelpful rules that are traditionally used to teach the subject. This first video assumes you know the Greek alphabet and are familiar with vowels and diphthongs, but otherwise lays out all the background material that you will need about morae and the accent marks so that you can understand the four rules presented in this system.
