I compromised and finished it with a matte finish, but it looked good in photos and I like it lol. Production period: March 12th - April 10th Thoughts on this project Water-based paint gets dirty when wiping it off. There's probably paint in the invisible bumps on the surface. Solution: After lacquering, apply a clear coat to make it shiny before applying the water-based paint. Solution: Use Magiclean. It dissolves completely. The orange inside the vernier is dull. Solution: Add paneling between the orange and the white armor. Or create a step (is that possible?). Solution: Open the hole to increase the orange area. Plastic sheet adhesive is better than instant putty. Part of it is because I applied too much... There are air bubbles, and many areas that were not completely sanded down. In terms of curing speed, pouring the putty should allow for quick work. Primer is not the tool to check for scratches. When you paint a gloss finish, scratches and poor sanding become visible. Sanding and then applying primer won't reveal them. In other words, to find scratches and poor sanding, you need to apply a gloss finish. Question: Is primer used to hide the transparency of the plastic?
