Der BigBoy lebt wieder!

We were in the USA with a 33-member travel group from 03-15.05.2019, mainly to experience, photograph and film the BigBoy UP 4014 during its stages from Cheyenne WY to Ogden UT and back. The locations were approached with a big coach, which demanded a lot from our driver Clay. Furthermore we were at the big public festival on the occasion of the 150th Golden Spike anniversary in Promontory Summit. Also the weather goot was gracious to us :-) This trip will remain unforgettable for all participants. Small correction: 2:50 is not Rawlins, but Granger UT The 844 was supposed to go to Ogden before the BigBoy, but since all resources were focused on completing the 4014, it was decided to run both locomotives to Ogden together. With its dynamic brake, the diesel locomotive spared the mechanical brakes of the steam locomotives.
