Working with producers Wally Gagel and Xandy Barry of Wax Ltd., multi-Grammy-winning engineer Chris Sorem, and artist Jessy Fury and his band The Sound, we tracked the song "All of the Above" through eight channels of each SSL channel strip simultaneously. Using Radial OX8 microphone splitters, every mic was fed into both the Revival 4000 and Super 9000 at the same time, allowing for a direct A/B comparison of how each channel strip handles drums, bass, guitars, keys, and vocals. No additional outboard processing was used. All EQ, dynamics, filters, and de-essing came from the SSL channel strips themselves. This is not a shootout.
