A delegation of 23 rectors and heads of Continuing Education Institutes for Teachers of the Republic of Korea visited the Association of Korean Cultural Centers of Uzbekistan, where they met with Viktor Pak, a member of the Oliy Majlis and Chairman of the Association of Korean Cultural Centers. The guests learned about the activities of the Association and the history and current life of the Korean diaspora in Uzbekistan. During the meeting, Lee Young Chang, Director of the Central Institute for Continuing Education for Teachers of the Republic of Korea, noted the high interest of Uzbeks in the Korean language and culture. During the visit, the guests chanced upon a rehearsal of the "Syadal" choir of the Mirabad Korean Cultural Center. In a warm and relaxed atmosphere, the delegation members joined in the performance of a Korean folk song, turning an ordinary rehearsal into a memorable gathering of compatriots.
