Story of one cocktail dress.

I made this dress 26 years ago for a New Year’s Eve party to celebrate the year 2000. I only wore it twice before it sat in my Poshmark closet for years. When we started planning our French-inspired fashion show, I knew this dress deserved a second chance. I asked my friend Diana Adjiashvili to model it, but during the fitting I wasn’t happy with the length. Instead of simply shortening it, I redesigned it with a rose-inspired bubble skirt. It completely transformed the dress, and paired with the hat by Victoria Regina, it looked absolutely stunning on the runway!
