A brief look behind the scenes of the Combs scandal from over 20 years ago - Joe Combs was a mysterious Hyles-Anderson teacher who left the school to pastor a church in Kingsport, Tennessee. I was in TN for the Evangelical Methodist Conference, and found that one of our men, Mark Ferguson of the Cedar View Independent Methodist church, worked at the radio station that broadcast Combs call-in radio program. Mark was given insight to the Combs family and was involved in the 20/20 investigation. We discuss some of these events, the state of the Combs family, and the Hyles connection. How did comes end up in TN? Why didn't Jack Hyles come to Combs rescue, like he had for several others from his ministries involved in similar scandals? And why are there so many horrendous scandals tied to the Hyles legacy? We look into this and more.
