Hindhead Tunnel Open for Business
Time lapse of transit north and south through the new Hindhead Tunnel, plus footage of the now redundant old A3, shot on 27/7/11 (southbound opening) and 29/7/11 (northbound opening). The tunnel cost £371m, took four and a half years to build and opened ahead of schedule. The tunnel bypasses an infamous A3 bottleneck at Hindhead traffic lights.
