Prof Paul Hartung on Career Construction
Career construction theory and practice conceives of people as storytellers and life-careers as stories told. Combining the psychologies of occupations (Holland, 1997), careers (Super, 1990), and life design (Savickas et al., 2009), career construction yields a powerful synthesis of approaches for promoting human life-careers and thereby building stronger communities. Understanding and using career construction principles and procedures makes good career practice better.
