Finding God in Difficult Times

Finding God in difficult times I was davening this week and realized I had rushed through some of the passages before the Sh’ma. So I went back, and “Baruch k’vod Havaya Mim’komo” caught my attention. Blessed is the Glory of the Holy One from Their Place. Coming right after the passage “Holy, Holy, Holy is the God of Hosts, the whole earth is filled with Their Glory,” it’s clear to me that the Place of God’s Glory is everywhere, and anywhere, and accessible to us in any situation. Facing a difficult situation, I realized that God’s Glory is within me, and within the difficulty itself. I felt G-d’s Presence could enlarge my perspective and reveal wisdom and growth. In today’s meditation, we attune to God’s Glory with each breath, breathing in Presence, finding its place inside, and breathing out God’s Presence as we absorb it.
