AFSCHEID van de NS 1700 en BORDBISTRO in de INTERCITY BERLIJN | #treinleven

Very sad news... The last real NS locomotives are being retired, marking the end of an era in which yellow locomotives from the 1600, 1700, and 1800 series operated throughout the Netherlands since the early 1980s. Ultimately, NS only used these for the Amsterdam-Berlin Intercity, which is now being operated by new leased Vectron locomotives. The BordBistro carriages (the mobile pub) on these trains are also being retired, as the German network operator has suddenly deemed the swing doors unsafe. Worthless.
