At 10 years of age, she tasted alcohol for the first time courtesy of her father, a sip of the traditional Kikuyu alcoholic beverage, Muratina, a habit that was to later see her branded a "recovering alcoholic". Tonight, on your story, meet a 48 - year - old woman as she retraces her steps back to the changaa den. She was then an addict. In her own words, Ann Mathu narrates her story of pain as she recalls the day she was turned away from church, the only place she could seek help.
