The Valencian Socialist Party (PSPV-PSOE) has filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court against the former president of the Valencian Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, for perjury before the Congressional committee investigating the devastating floods. The lawsuit is based on contradictions in Mazón's testimony between his statement in Congress last November and the investigation by the court in Catarroja (Valencia), which is handling the criminal case regarding the management of the floods. The Valencian Socialists also accuse Mazón of lying about his call log; about the route he took from the 'El Ventorro' restaurant to the Palau de la Generalitat on the afternoon of October 29, 2024; about his communications with the Generalitat's Minister of Emergencies, Salomé Pradas; and about his knowledge of deaths caused by the floods.
