Repair Cracked Pool Filter for 1/3 the Replacement Cost. (Full Instructions) Cartridge or DE.

My Waterway pool cartridge filter failed last week. The housing split right below the band clamp and started dumping my pool into my yard. The replacement filter would have been about $1200. I fixed it for $320 by just replacing the cracked housing and moving over all the components from the old unit to the new one. This same filter housing, Waterway part 515-4200, is used for both cartridge and DE pool filters. The replacement part is 550-4407.
