Mike Reed plays "The Happy Organ" on his happy Hammond Organ
"The Happy Organ" is the name of an instrumental composition made famous by Dave "Baby" Cortez in 1959. A significant portion of the tune bears a strong resemblance to the traditional "Shortnin' Bread" tune. It was the first rock and roll organ tune that I heard, next to Green Onions. It helped get me going down the Hammond road. :0)
