The Bodywork Grows | The Hyperbike Project

Why build a handcrafted aluminum belly pan for a motorcycle that isn't even finished yet? Because DA#22 isn't being developed one part at a time, it's being designed as one complete sculpture. Together with Diamond Atelier, we're developing DA#22 , the world's first Hyperbike. E very body panel has to work as part of a much bigger picture. Before the side panels can connect the upper and lower bodywork, the foundation for the lower section has to be created. In this episode, I handcraft the aluminum belly pan entirely by hand. Every curve, edge and transition is shaped from flat sheet aluminum without press tools or molds, becoming another essential piece of the Hyperbike's evolving bodywork. Although the complete design is still taking shape, each new panel brings the vision one step closer to reality. The base platform is a KTM 1290 Super Duke, but almost every part of the motorcycle will be redesigned and handcrafted throughout the build process.
