HOW I PRUNE MY WISTERIA - In February

We are so lucky to have such an enormous one which was here already when we bought our house. Over the last 5 years we have managed to improve its health so much. It was in a sad way when we moved in. Wisteria pruning is vital for its health. Good pruning means good air flow for the stems. Pruning is key to getting maximum blooms in the spring. I prune my wisteria in August and Feb. Having said that last year the bulk of it skipped the august prune. This was because I could not get through the gaps to reach it as it was so big.
