Lesson 10, Scroll Saw Inlay, Stacking , Angle And Direction
In this video I combine two techniques angle cutting for relief and stacking. These were demonstrated in the last two videos. When the correct angle is used and the cut is in the proper direction then an inlay from one layer can be perfectly insterted into the other layer to create a contrast. When done correctly it will be seamless. The key is the proper angle for the blade and the final thickness of the material. That is best determined by stacking scrap material of the same thickness of the desired final material and testing the angles with the blade you intend to use. Then the direction of cut will determine which layer will be the inlay piece. Here I cut in a direction to make the top layer the insert piece. #TwinOaksTreasures Goose Heart link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HywI...
