As a high school student, she won an honorable mention in the 3rd Junior Short Story Newcomer Award. After a period as a young writer, she began her career as a full-time writer at age 22. In 1999, she won the 6th Japan Horror Novel Award for "Bokkee, Kyotee" (Kadokawa Shoten), and in 2000, the same work won the 13th Yamamoto Shugoro Prize. In 2002, she won the 2nd Fujin Koron Literary Award for "Chai Koi" (Chuokoron-Shinsha), which was adapted into a film in 2013. Her outspoken narrative style and unique aesthetic continue to attract attention in both television and literature. Reiko Yuyama Born in Tokyo. Graduated from the Faculty of Law at Gakushuin University. Writer, producer, and chatty culture monster. Her works include "Woman Eating Sushi Alone" (Gentosha Bunko), "Woman in Cross-Dressing" (Shincho Shinsho), and "Over Forty! (Kadokawa Bunko), a collection of conversations with Chizuko Ueno, "Pleasure First!
